CT & Barium Enema Results

So, after waiting over an hour at the doctor, they finally came in & said Jadyn's brain CT was normal. Her barium enema was also normal. She does need to get in to see a speech therapist ASAP. They are finding one that specializes in food aversions. Jadyn is getting less then half of the recommended calories she needs daily. She is 7 1/2 months old & only 14 pounds. She is still wearing 3 month sizes in clothes. They said she has to come back in a week for a weight check. She has to gain a certain amount of weight by then or they will insert a feeding tube. The doctor says she needs to be eating cereal or baby food 3 times a day. I'm going to put rice cereal in all of her bottles & try & give her baby food. She just doesn't want to eat baby food. She wants only formula. That's gonna be an issue when WIC doesn't give me enough formula & it's $30/can that only lasts about 2 or 3 days. We're gonna have to fatten her up or she'll have a feeding tube inserted into her stomach I'm assuming since it will have to stay there. She's unhealthy because she won't eat. She's too small & it's dangerous. At least her brain CT was normal & she doesn't have that terrible disease where she's missing nerve endings that makes her constipated. Maybe her chronic constipation is caused by her Glaucoma medicine? She has a speech evaluation the 20th of this month at the place where she will be getting her physical & occupation therapies but there's a waiting list to get in to speech. She'll still get in quicker because she's already in therapy there (waiting for Medicaid papers to approve.) but it's still gonna be a wait. Her pediatrician said she can't wait. Oh, we also have an appointment with a pediatric neurologist next month. It's not with the doctor I met at the conference because he's moving in a few months & it's not with mine (he's the hardest to get in to see) but hopefully she can switch to him.
